My path hasn’t been conventional, but it has been deeply my own, and it’s shaped who I am as an artist.
I grew up in Romania, in Eastern Europe, as the middle child and only girl in my family. As a teenager, I listened to stories of struggle and resilience that had been passed down through generations. Those stories taught me lessons about strength, gratitude, and beauty that still guide my life and my art today.
I am a proud graduate of Octav Băncilă Art School and later attended Alexandru Ioan Cuza State University. For many years, my greatest passion was dance—I devoted 16 years to ballet. In that creative environment, I was surrounded by musicians, painters, writers, and composers who shaped my artistic sensibility and sharpened my attention to detail. Most importantly, they helped me see life itself as a divine gift.
Today I live in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, where nature’s splendor is a constant source of inspiration. A simple walk outdoors can spark new ideas and emotions that eventually find their way onto the canvas. The joy of mixing color and experimenting with techniques fuels my process, turning my early love of art into a continuing journey of exploration and expression.
My work moves across different styles, exploring the beauty of the natural world alongside the power of abstraction. In landscapes, waterscapes, mountainscapes, and abstract pieces, I aim to convey both the reality of a place and the emotional resonance of color, light, and form. I blend contemporary approaches with classical fine art principles, creating pieces that are both personal and thought‑provoking.
Acrylic is my primary medium because it allows me to work vibrantly and in layers. I paint on both canvas and wood panels, and each piece is carefully finished and varnished to protect and enhance it for years to come.
