My goal was to create a sanctuary scene that feels both grounded and spiritually refreshing. The creative process in my studio focused on a highly detailed, realistic approach to texture and light. I spent hours building up the central white orchid petals to showcase their soft, velvety texture, and layered contrasting shades of emerald, forest, and chartreuse across the surrounding ferns and ivy leaves to capture how they absorb the afternoon light.
The structural teal window pane divides the canvas, framing a distant green mountain landscape inspired by the peaceful horizons of the Blue Ridge region.
